Okay I have been learning about car audio for some time but only from the subwoofer/head unit end of it.... how would you hook up a mids or highs amp ?? I am looking into buying one, my system so far is a pioneer 7500 HU, Alpine mrv1507 amp and 2 mtx 8000's along with 2 mtx 6000's.... my interior speakers are 2 infinity kappa 6x9's and two polk audio 6's in the doors.... If I wanted to run beter wires what would it take to install another amp ( I know Id need to look into a better alt. if I ddi this as well...lights dim to shiz already) Thanks much!!

One of the amps will have an output to connect a second amp.  The output will be the full range, so no additional RCA's will have to be run.  The power wire may have to be upgraded, depending on what you currently have.  You can refer to the chart over to the left of this page, figuring on the total fuse rating of the two amps.  The power wire will go to a distribution block, 1 in / 2 out, and then to the amps.   But you might as well get that alternator upgrade done first, and upgrade the associated wires under the hood.  The alt manufacturer will help you with that.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
