I bought a 1996 Lincoln Continental with a 10-cd changer in the trunk.  The trouble is that it connects through FM station 88.3 which has a VERY strong station in my area.  Is there a way to hard wire it to the stereo so the bleed-over from the FM station doesnt ruin my listening pleasure?

Can you not adjust the channel that it uses?

THe station is so strong that it bleeds over to the adjacent ones.

What brand of changer is it? It could just be that your modulater is going bad or has not been grounded properly.

Most FM modulated CD changers have atleast two possible transmitter frequencies. You need to locate the modulators antenna box. The antenna cables run in and out of it. It will be close to the antenna jack for your radio. There should be a switch on it to change the operating frequency. this should resolve the problem.

is it a factory radio in the dash? if it is does it have cd controls on it? if it does then you may be able to get an adaptor harness which will let you run it with the factory head unit, if your head unit is not factory and different from the changer then you will have to find how to change the freq on the changer.
