I installed a XM tuner (GEX-P910XM) , the head unit is the AVIC-N1, in my 2004 Nissan Frontier. the tuner and everything works great, but I keep losing my presets everything i turn the car off. whats up with that? I spliced the tuner box's power into the cigarette lighter, because I thought it was constantly on regardless of ignition. What can I do to remedy this? and also, is it normal for the XM to go to channel one everytime the car starts up?

thanks

That's your problem. Run the constant wire from your tuner box on the constant wire on the radio (use a digital multimeter to test for the right wire. Cigarette lighters in Nissan aren't constant 12 volt they and switched 12 volt (only when ignition is on). Your XM is going back to channel 1 because there is no constant connection for it to retain memory.
