Is it possible for me to connect speaker wire directly to the decks speaker wires on it? Or do you need special wire like what the car comes stock with?

Would that work or not?

That will work. Just make sure the speaker wire you use is the same gauge (usually 20 or 18 awg) or larger. 16 gauge is fine for speaker wires.

Nothing special about the factory copper, that's for sure.
