I running the kicker kx 600.1 amp to a capacitor.

When I turn it on the green power light comes on.

When I turn it off the green power light goes off and the red protection light comes on and system powers off.

I have a 1200.1, I don't watch it power on, and off, but maybe that is just how the amp shuts down.
