They're both good for bass... Have you had a chance to hear either one?

I wish I could but dont know anyone with either and no shops here sell them Im from minneapolis and I would think some shop carries them but dont.

Personally, if I were to go blindly, I'd put my chances on the Shiva.

I wonder which sub s. kephart is gonna give his vote to? No experience with adire, but don't like pioneer subs so adire by me.

Actually before I worked at Adire, I was an installer at a shop. A guy I worked with took some cheap Pioneer speakers, built a ported enclosure and went to a competition. Everyone payed him no mind until he won first place with a 150 dB score (several years ago on an AC mic). I think their cheap speakers do a pretty decent job for the price. As for the one in question, I don't have any experience with it. I suppose I personally would choose the Shiva because it would be WAY cheaper.  Steven Kephart Adire Audio -------------

For SQ, the Brahma uses our XBL^2 motor so it will definitely win. For output, most likely the Shiva's would win. But each have their advantages and disadvantages. The Brahma requires a smaller enclosure, but is less efficient. The Brahma costs a lot more, but looks a lot better. BTW, all our speakers come with a 3 year warranty. Probably depends on the setup. How loud can you get now? What size and type enclosure are you using? One guy used to hit consistantly around 152 dB with a single Tempest (the 15" version of the Shiva), so they are quite potent subs. He now runs 4 Tempests off of 1000 watts and does 150 dB at the headrest and on the new Termpro mic. Steven Kephart Adire Audio -------------

Right know I have them in the spare tire in a custom box i have never used a meter to test what I can hit now. But i can tell that it does not hit me in the chest and thats what I want, I just want to know will these speakers do this the box is volume is at about 3.5

What kind of amp was pushing that guys one tempest and what kind of box was it in and btw my box is sealed.
