I bought an amp for the fosgate xlc 8"subs. Its a punch 200m mono block. 200w @ 2 ohms rms
The subs are 200w rms each
My question is this, Would i get better results with a ported box? I have made a box sealed, and i'm not impressed.
The subs need a sealed box 0.30 and ported 0.625
The box i made is too big im afraid! the inner vol is 0.68056 ,could this be the prob?
If so the box is pretty close to the right size for porting.
thanx for any advice!
The box too big could very well be your problem. What you need to do is either port the box as you suggested or take blocks of wood and fill up the box with enough wood to shrink the interior volume to the recomended size.

also if you are runnning 2 subs. you are only running half the power you need you are running 200watts you need 200 per sub...
