ok , I know Audiobahn is NOT the best gear to use. Some people have thier opinions but anyway , I just found out my friend and I picked up a sponser from Audiobahn with Unlimited budget. Its like winning the Wal-mart lottery I know but I couldnt say no. What I wanted to know is has anybody had any experience with thier new rack mounted amps? Spacifily the big A5000spl or the A2x600hq. I went to thier web site (audiobahninc.) and looked up the amps and seemed to have pretty decent specs but I would also like to hear from some one who's had hands on with them. Just looking for opinions good or bad. The car is a restored 1965 Lincoln Continental with rear suicide doors. 460 v8 engine.

thanks for the input jeff. Were most likely gonna build the system for outlaw spl using the Immortal series 12" DVCs.  4 of them on the trunk. Damn trunk is Huge.

Power.  That's all audiobahan amps are is power.  Don't try to get a decent sine wave out of it.  Probably looks more like a broken rollercoaster track.  But yeah I'll probably here you way out here w/ one of their powerhouses.  Make sure you have the powersupply to back that thing up though.

thats pretty much my feelings too. Like theres 2 kinds of beer , your favorite and free. We were hired by the owner of the car who we helped get the sponser from Audiobahn. Believe me we tried many other brands such as Cove and Memphis and even Kicker but Audiobahn was most willing to work with us for the right price. In exchange , we are to show the car at EVERY event they tell us to go to. Mostly all over the Gulf coast area. There trying to get a better name for themselves I guess. I dont care but like it was said , ITS FREE ! And yes weve already beefed up the power supply with 3 yellow top Optima Batteries and at least 2 - 15 farad capacitors.

Stevdart...........thanks for that link. I'll have to cross reference the altenator thats in the car now . It looks like every Ford Altenator on that site is available in a 200 amp version. Would you or anybody else recomend this?

You'll be pulling a lot of power with a show SPL system...that's why I suggested you give them an idea of the power requirements and they can custom-build an alt for that car.  Unlimited budget, remember?
