Alpine CDA9820XM head unit Sony Xplod XSW1621 6.5" in front Pioneer TS-A6870R 6"X8" in rear Alpine MRP F240 360 watt 4 channel amp for front four speakers Kenwood KFC-W3009 12" sub in single BLACK/ chrome bandpass box Kenwood KAC5201 250 watt amp to drive the sub (2) 8 gauge kits to wire amps Alarm with remote start, keyless entry and LCD pager remote I spent about $800 on everything. All parts are brand new. All wiring either soldered or tightly crimped, and covered with heat shrink. I have to finish installation this week, so far the head unit and front speakers are in. It is going into a 1990 full sized Ford Bronco. I am also going to Dynamat the front four speakers. Thanks. And sorry about your friend. Yeah, I shopped carefully. none of the stuff is "warm" in any way! Ebay is very helpful, if you are careful. And I got the Kenwood amp for free when I bought the head unit at Car Toys. just a question why are you running 2 8 guage kits instead of 1 4 guare kit?

No reason, I just wanted to make sure to have enough wire and fuse holders. I got a good deal on them so I bought two. Also, my needs do not require a 4 gauge kit, so I figured why hassle with the thick wire if it is not necessary. Huh?? All I gotta say is...it's a good thing you didn't find a good deal on 10 gauge! 8 ga. is bare minimum for your system as long as your running all speakers and sub at 4 ohm impedance. The other thing is this: you bought a bandpass box with the sub. You should think about swtching to a sealed enclosure instead. Or maybe simple ported. You've only got 120 watts going to the sub with that amp. Your enclosure is designed for SPL, but you've got a minimal setup. You will need to get more frequency range out of your sub than a bandpass will allow. ------------- Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.
