JL makes all the rules in my book the W0's are there entry level and it is better than most company's pro level if you are seeking  SQ.

JL subs sound amazing from what I've heard....if my car could fit 2 10s comfortably, I'd be all over that (and if I hadn't acquired a rockford 12 for $88CAN)

I have two 12W0's in a sealed box.  These subs hitt harder than you would think. They are only rated at 125w RMS and I am feeding them exactly whats recommended, 250W RMS to both. These hit harder than my audiobahn performer series 12's.  You will be amazed with the quality and punch these subs deliver.

I think $300 is a bit much, they are cheaper via internet.

At Sound Advice aka: Tweeter they are $350 brand new in a box with perfect specs.

And at Audio Itch (Tampa FL) they are only $250 with a JL approved box.

And when you say horn box does that mean there are horn tweeters built into the box?

Either way, get the JL's, take the Jensen subs back to wal-mart.

JL's are awsome.  Nothing better in my opinion.  The w0 are not the best but yeah like fatgotti said they are better then most.  I would personally go w/ two 10" 10w3v2 b/c of better power and an increase in sql but the w0 are good for a budget.  (two 10w3v2 will run you bout $320 w/out a box.  build your own).  Now just find a good amp.  JL makes good amps too.

Are you talking about there JL's Power Wedge enclosure's ?  Because if you are get it right away those things pack a BIG PUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!   You by no means will be disappointed..... JL was a gift to us from heaven!!!   but this is just my opinion!

is it worth spending more money to get two 12w3, instead of two 12w0?

Look at the specs.  More power. Bigger voice coil and magnet.  More xmax.  And if you hear them it's sound quality up your hole.  So yes in my oppinion I would wait for the 12w3v2.  I'm watiting to get my 10w7 instead of just a 10w3v2.  That'll be the day you all hear me commin down your block (not really that loud but still).  posted_image

I would get the 12W3V2 if you can. Think expansion.

I got the 12W0's because I have them connected to a JL 500/5 amp, and I have matched the sub RMS with the amp RMS.  But if you get the W3's than you can get an even better amp to power them, may I suggest the JL 1000/1 mono amp.  Little expensive, but its the ultimate amp JL has ever made.

JL subs rules!!!

I have three 12w0(12 ohm each) in a custom box with a small rockford fosgate punch amp(old version),my car makes 146 db.With a bigger amp it makes a lot more.
