i just finished installing my pioneer deh-p8000r into my 90 240sx. I connected the remote on lead from the deck to the power antenna line in the car, when the stereo turns on the antenna goes up and keep's trying to extend! so what did i do wrong? any help would be appreciated, thanks.

did it have a radio prior to your install and if you connected to remote turn on lead this will pulse out 12 volts the whole time the head unit is on try connecting to power antenna lead.

it did have a radio prior o this but it wasn't connected to the antenna, and pioneer use's the remote on as it's power antenna line.

try applying 12 volts to power antenna temporarily then  see what it does it could be the antenna.

the antenna extends but keeps trying to go up until you remove the voltage then it goes back down.

sounds like the contact switch in the antenna is dead...When you extend an antenna there is a simple switch of sorts that kills motor and stops tha antenna until the power is released....

My opinon....Bad antenna BAD BAD antenna....
