Hi- I stumbled across this site when I was trying to find some help on wiring my new radio.First of all I have installed a couple of radios before without any problems, however..... I installed my new radio and accidently let a wire touch the metal case ( i was test fitting everything and plugged it in for a second to see if it worked) Of course it sparked and now no power. Even the stock radio will not turn on so I know that it is a fuse because it was working before. I have pulled all of the fuses  I soldered the new stereo harness and adapter harness together but I have no power. I have checked all of the fuses but none seem to be blown. This is my first honda so  I am not familiar with any fusible links or anything that could be causing the radio to not get power. Any help is appreciated!

Have you checked the fuses under the hood?

I checked the fuses in the door jamb and uner the hood. My car did not come with an owners manual so I have no clue which fuse is for the radio. I looked at all of them TWICE but I did not see any that were busted? I must have missed one or something. Any ideas? I need to fix it ASAP! Thanks

David

The clock and everything else works. the only thing that will not turn on is the radio stock or aftermrket. Neither one is getting power when hooked up.

Anyone? I checked all the fuses again and all seem to be good. I do not have the owners manual so  I do not even know which fuse is for the radio?? Are there any inline fuses or something? Thanks for the help.

There shouldn't be any others... Have you pulled them and checked them with a meter? Just because they LOOK good, it does not mean there couldn't be something wrong with them.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

Just a quick question, do you have dash lights for the radio, climate control, etc ? I ask because this has happened to other member's last year and it ended up being a small BCM type module that was burned out.

Well looks like I am going to first use a test light to test all of the fuses b/c I only looked at them and they all looked good. After that, I guess its time to put the factory radio back in and take it back to the dealership to get them to repair it. Then re install it without grounding out any wires. I will keep you posted with what works....
