I have BA Pros 6.5.  The mid/woofs are mounted on 3/4" mdf and the doors are sealed and lined with dynomat. The tweeters are in the stock possition. I have 2 10" Kicker Comps facing the rear bumber in the trunk. They are powered by an Xtant 3300x amp crossed over is at 70hz. I listen to Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, Led and Metalica type of music. I am interested in sound quality only. I don't listen to Jazz, Rap or Classical.

My biggest concern is midbass. While it is good, it does not have that dramatic, clean, powerful midbass during low bass guitar notes that I would like.

I have been told to add another 6.5" or 8" midbass (make it a 3 way)to the doors, or just get a more powerful amp.

Any suggestions?. I do have Soundstream Rubicon 405 at my disposal if that helps in any way.

Help.

You don't need a more powerful amp. That is a fantastic amplifier for components.

Your install sounds solid. 3-way might be the best solution, especially since you listen to that kind of music.

A 6.5" to 8" midbass should do it for you. The largest you can fit the better. Check out the Adire Audio Koda 6 or 8, Image Dynamics midbass drivers, anything from BA if you want to stick with them...
