I have 2 JL 10w3d6. If I wire one subs voice coils in series in a 12 ohm load, the other in parallel in a 3 ohm load. Run those 2 loads parallel, so that my amp sees 2.4 ohms. Will 1 sub get more power than the other due to the different impedance, or will they share the power equally?
TIA

they will receive different power and one will play alot louder than the other.  why do u want a 2.4 ohm load?

I didn't think 6 ohm would be what I want with my amp(RF 1001bd), and it want support anything lower than 2ohm. I really need 3 to get the ohm load I need, but don't have the room. Any advice greatly appreciated? Is it ok to run 6 ohm on the amp?

Absolutely fine, and that's what you should do in this case.  When the time is right, you can trade out the subs for two single 4 ohm or two dual 2 ohm....and get that 2 ohm load on the amp that you are seeking.

sorry to hear you suffer from impedance.

viagra apparently works a treat.

lol.

Sure, you can set it up like that.  It won't harm anything but you will certainly not get the full benefit from having two woofers.  The woofer wired at 3 ohms will utilize four times the power of the one wired at 12 ohms, so you will mostly hear that one woofer.  I would recomend exchanging woofers for ones more suited to that amp - or vice versa - and wiring them at equal impedence.
