I have a 2001 Focus SE sedan. I just managed to get the radio kit installed. After installation i notice that my cd's skip when the bass hits hard. It didn;t have this problem before. Before i had the kit, my deck was just sitting right in that hole where the radio is. I bought the kit from Best Buy..so im guessing its not a cheap kit like those found on ebay. How would i go about fixing my cd's from stop skipping? I would also like to keep that same deck if possible. I'm currently running 2 12's Oz Audio Matrix Elite, with a Profile CL1200 running at 2ohms stereo.

is the kit bolted into the dash?    look to see if there is a backstrapping piece in with your kit.

I looked to see if there was a backstrape. Unfortunatly i didn't find one. Do i Bolt the deck to the car? It doesn't seem to be loose. Seem's like it's in there like it should.

If Best Buy installed it I would take it back and get them to put a strap on it. That is probably what is wrong.
