1) Can I get away with two amps (Alpine F340 & Infinity Basslink) using the same remote lead from the HU or do I need to wire in a relay to turn these on?

2) Should I run a fused power wire direct from the battery or can I splice into another constant 12v to run the SiriusConnect sat box?

It will be on a 2004 Ford Ranger FX4/II if that helps.

1)Yes you can use the same remote lead from the HU. Just use a pigtail or buttsplice to splice in another wire for the amps.

2) Run a fused wire straight from the battery. Fuse it within 18" of the batt. The wire for your sat box is too small I'm sure. I would suggest at least 4ga wire to a distribution block with 2 8ga wires out. Ground it the exact opposite, 2 8ga to a dist. block into one 4ga to the ground.

This sat unit is the SIR-ALP1 and it only draws 5 amps.  Are you sure I would need that much?  I can't imagine running 8g wire to this thing.
