That list?

Diamond or MTX.

I'd also consider Eclipse, Image Dynamics, and Adire.

Since I'm sure you have specific expectations in mind, be sure to model them up in WinISDpro or any other enclosure modeling program. You'll be sorry if you don't.

I was going to do the same thign as you. I was going to choose 2 15's over my 4 12"s but after hearing the 2 i decided to stay with what ive got. If you are going to change i would do the MA Audio's they look nice. The MTX look good but i just have reservations about the company. The new '05 Kicker is a decent sub too, i was going to change to 4 of these in my setup. Hope this helps  a little at least.

Project Protege:

Are you selling those 4 subs you posted here about installing a few weeks back? I think it was Stevdart that posted all that stuff about how to install 'em....?

Why? How'd they sound? That install looked crazy..

You like MA Audio but have reservations about MTX as a company? Why?

MTX is "old school" but i think that like many other companys like orion , alpine, rockford fosgate , and many other have gone comercial with their products. they were all better back in the day. it seems like they are going for quantiy not quality. Eclipse, Image Dynamics, and Adire as you listed are more respectable companies that thrive on quality unlike the others that are selling products in best buy (ie Alpine , RF) in quantity. these are only my thoughts.........Hope you get where i am comming from.......

I do. You're right, on a balance MTX weighs more on the side of mass market.

I'd go with the Stroker. Plenty of power and they sound good too in the right application.

yeah, they sound crazy, but sometimes i get bored of some things after a while, i just might keep them and throw them in my jeep and throw some 15s in the protege. because i dont think anyone would want to buy my subs anyways lol, most people are into other names than rockford for some reason...

I would go with the Strokers or MA's for a system more geared towards SPL. I tell ya those MAs get INSANE loud, MA's high end subs are really nice, their low end ones are not so great.

For a more SQ based system I would go with the Diamonds.
