Hey I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler and I changed some wiring for a CD player.  Now whenever I turn off the Jeep all Miles I have added onto my jeep gets erased.  When I start my jeep again.  The Odometer resets back to when I changed my wiring.  Help please.  Sorry I couldn't be more descriptive.

Try and set everything back to original with the CD wiring and see if the problem is still there. If it is, then try removing the battery terminal ( -) side for about 10 minutes and see if this resets the computer. If this doesn't work, you may have to bring it back into the dealer for a scsan to see if the BCM was damaged in any way from the CD installation... which I doubt, but you never know.

** Don't tell them that you did anything to the CD player and see if they can tell you what is wrong. If you tell them that you removed the CD player then they have something to blame and they will automatically blame the installation, kind of like when a remote starter is installed..... it's an easy out for them. **

the only wire that even goes to the dash cluster is your dimmer and illumination wires (orange and ORANGE / white). try unhooking those and see what it does. worth a try?
