This is my plan.  I have a stock AM/FM Cassette player stereo with common ground outputs...I want to install an amp and speakers to it.  I also have an adjustable line output converter.  How do I wire these to the head unit?  If I were to connect the converter's negative wires to the common ground of the head unit...wouldn't that fry the converter?  Any help is appreciated...Thanksposted_image

no what you do is buy a high low and connect it to the speaker outs of the factory radio, you will need two if your doing an interior amp so you dont loose the fade  but if you dont car than connect this high low to the rear outputs of the radio left and right . this will turn this to rca outputs and you will be able to hook it to amps , word!!! you will get distortion, pops using this method . aftermarket radio is a best.

mecp certification is not always needed. I have it and it has not helped me out at all. my experience out shines it.
