I'm looking to upgrade my four-channel amplifier that runs my front components and rear deck speakers. I came across this particular Diamond Audio D6600.4, which is rated at 75W RMS x 4, the same as the JL 300/4 (the other amp I'm considering).

The Diamond Audio manual says that, "Full rated power is generated between 11 and 14.5 VDC." If I'm not mistaken, that's one of the features that makes the JL 300/4 so highly regarded. Given that the price difference is negligible, is there another important criteria to help determine which is the better purchase between the two?

I've heard great things about the JL amp; Diamond Audio seems more of an unknown quantity. The specs for both are very similar. Any feedback is appreciated.

Yeah, the new model is very similar to the D5600.4. Would you consider it as capable and of the same calibre as the 300/4?

Yes I would, I am very very happy with it.   Although we are trying to build a system on the inside to keep up with nearly 150db worth of bass.     It is a very nice clean amp when everything is set up properly

Both of those amps are excellent performers, so either way you can't go wrong. I have been running Diamond amps for almost 2 years now and have had no problems. I am using D7's in my car and have D5's in my wife's car, both sound amazing.

I was hoping there was something to distinguish the two and make the choice easier. Do the Diamond Audio amps draw alot of current compared to the 300/4? Maybe the more efficient amp would be the better choice.

Diamond Amps offer a lifetime warrenty on their amplifiers now, that may be something to consider as far as distinguishable. That applies if you get it installed at a shop that sells the products though, I set everything up and they installed it for me for 5 bucks though since all they had to do was screw the wires on. Otherwise I beleive they come with a three year warrenty.

I've yet to hear any complaints about the line of Diamond Audio amps, new or old. It's even better to hear directly from people who use their products. Thanks for all the info, guys.
