I'm now putting in my 6 1/2 inch eclipses into my door of my camaro, but i just realized they dont fit??? I know for a fact my car has 6 1/2s all the way around. I have rockfords in the back and they fit. I dont get it. The front speakers have this mounting bracket that they fit into and it is oddly shaped like the speakers, but they are 6 1/2. how do i make them fit?

also i forgot to add that the speaker serial # says that its 6.5inches but the speaker itself doesnt measure up. Its less that 6" from one mounting screw hole to another???

If they are smaller then the frame cut out make your own bracket out of (thin not 1/4 inch MDF) MDF. If the hole in the door is to small then tak the dremel to it. Had to do this on my civic with Boston Ralleys (make the metal hole bigger).

Unfortunately, there are two sizes that get passed off as 6 1/2', one is the 170mm and the other is the 160mm.
