A friend of mine had a 9510 put into their 01 Nissan Altima. She complained about not being able to get a few fm stations. I put a FM booster on it and the reception is still bad. The Antenna for that car is in the winshield. I am thinking the Jensen has an issue.

I don't know anything about Jensen head units, but I can say that in general aftermarket head units tend to have worse radio reception than OEM factory unts since aftermarket heads are geared towards playing CDs and factory heads are optimized for radio reception.  Plus the antennas supplied with cars are optimized for the factory heads. Glass-mount antennas tend to be far worse than masts in general as well.  The best thing you could do is install an aftermarket high-gain mast antenna, and hope for the best

I'm pretty sure that car has an amplified window antenna. Go buy Metras 70-7550 and make sure the blue wire has power.

I have faced a similar issue in a Nissan.  Make sure that you connect the blue wire (power attenna lead).  The in glass attenna has an OEM amplifier connected to it.  Make sure the blue wire from the HU is connected with the blue wire in the wiring harness and your FM reception will be a lot better.  Good Luck!
