Hi, Ive got an alpine MRV-T707 amp running an alpine sub.
When I was playing the music, the amp suddenly shut down and does not work anymore. The green LED still comes on on ignition/remote turn on, and then it becomes dim and stays dim. The sub does not play.
All power & ground connections are fine.
I've opened the back cover, but cannot see any apparent damage such as burn marks around components.
What could be possibly wrong? Can I repair it myself, or will I have to give it in to an authorised service centre.

Hi,
Im running one alpine SWR - 1240 sub in bridged mode. the Ohm rating is 4 ohms
theres more than plent power from the amp.
I thinks its overheated, since the day it happened, it was extremely hot weather.
Do you think if I disconnect & reconnect the power supply, it may reset itself & start working? Sorry if it sounds silly, im assuming the thermal overload protection kicked in, and can only be reset by disconnecting the power supply.

Humor me on this but check the amount of voltage comming from the Remote Turn on wire, make sure it read 12volts at all times and does not vary
The reason I say this is, my friends 301M Fosgate amp did the same and it turned out to be the Headunit's remote wire was falty, it would power up to only 4 volts, we switched it to the ACC wire and got a full 12 volts and the amp started working again
Now if you have already tried this, then im out of suggestions

I will check for 12volts on the remote turn on wire
