So the other day my friend wanted to install this CD player in his 91 Buick. We take the stock unit out and he has this really ghetto wiring harness alreay on the CD player and he plugs it in to see if it works, and it doesn't. It ejects the CD but nothing else happens. I think he tocuhed the power wire and the yellow fuse wire together. Now he put the stock radio back in and it doesn't do much of anything either. It will show the time if you hit power but 5 seconds later it goes away, and won't play any music. Could he have possibly shorted a wire in the system? The fuse isn't blown or anything.

Check all the fuses in the car.  Sounds like he blew one.

He took it in to get a totally different problem with the car stalling on him and whatever it si they did now his radio works.  Don't ask me how or what they did I'm still trying to figure it out. I guess his electircal system had something go wrong, and now it works. I have to investigate further.
