I currently have 4 pioneer 12 subs in a sealed box, they are rated at 400rms, and I want to upgrade or downgrade depending on how you look at it, to 2 12s or 15s but not lose any of the loudness from the 4 12s. any suggestions??? my price range is about 200 a sub.

Not very often you see someone recomend audiobahn over L7'sposted_image

I heard 2 L7 15's this morning. They were stupid loud!! Not much for SQ but at levels like that does it matter?

i have a mark antony 2500D, its suppose to be 2500rms, and it might be but i never turn it up all the way so it normally ran at about 1200-1400.  It beats hard, thats y i dont turn it up because your ears will be hurting.  Should I use a ported or sealed box?  By the way they are goin in a 99 chrysler concorde

If you care anything about SQ, dont go with Audiobahn or L7s... simple as that.

Just double your Xmax and you will MORE than happy with the outcome. So if those subs only moved 12mm Xmax, get something with 24mm Xmax. Or double your power. Or go ported. Any of those will get you as loud or louder than the 4 12"s you have.

I recommend the Oz Audio Matrix Elite subs... around 200 each and will do 24mm Xmax, 700 watts RMS, and be INCREADIBLY loud sealed and hit lower than you could imagine.
