I have 2 Kicker L7's (4 ohm each), I am going to wire them into a 1 ohm load, into a KX1200.1. The question I have is how do I do this? In all the wiring diagrams I see, it looks like you need to cut the wire from the second woofer, solder in the first subwoofer wire, and then run them to the amp. Is this right? Or do i just wire each into a 2 ohm load and connect 2 positives to the amplifier, and 2 ground to the amplifier? Any suggestions will help, thanks!!!

Are the subs single or dual voice coils?

See:  https://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp

Wiring diagrams are shown like this for simplicity:  simple straight lines.  In a real application, the wire would run from one terminal to the next and from that terminal on to the next one.  No "T" connections.  Some subs have extra terminals to make this kind of wiring easier.  But most subs have only a single terminal or binding post on which to connect two wires.  There are a few ways to do it.  I like to be able to quickly remove a wire from a subwoofer, and if they were soldered onto it then they would have to be cut.  The next time that sub is installed there will be an additional solder joint in the signal path.  So, here's a way I've done it:  strip a section of insulation off the wire where it will connect to the terminal, fold the wire at the bare spot...and either solder on a F-disconnect and push it onto the sub terminal, or wrap the bare wire around the binding post.

Your wiring might end up looking something like this:

If you follow the black wire in my pic above, you can see that it could easily be just one length of wire connecting all the negative terminals.

Whatever it ends up looking like, it's just simply "parallel/parallel" wiring.  Voice coils in parallel, subs in parallel.

The subs are dvc. 4 ohms.

Stevdart, I appreciate the help greatly! One question, what is an F Connect? thanks

F-Disconnect = female disconnect.  Some subs have the male terminal that this is made to fit onto.  All the smaller speakers have them.  If these are used you want to be certain that you're using the correct size.
