greetings to everyone
this is my first post here i have what i believe to be 2 pretty simple straight forward questions have just purchased a 2002 ford f150 extended cab pickup a low kms creampuff of a truck anyway my 1st question is i am looking for a custom fit sub enclosure that fits under the rear seat who has had experience with these and what can you recommend i have looked at the one from MTX that fits under passenger side of the rearseat and i believe it is a fiberglass enclosure not to crazy about that one i am leaning towards boxes that place the subs one on either side of the truck i am thinking of going with 10s and i suppose in this design i will only will only be able to find boxes made of MDFcan anyone recommend boxes from a certain supplier they have had good results with 2nd question does anyone out there have any specific details on an older car audio amp called a hafler ma-1 specs anything?
Well, really, AFAIAC, you can't build a good box for every woofer, when you are building it for the car into which it is going. When you do this, you will be trading performance, UNLESS you can find a woofer (and there will probably only be a few - you might have to settle) that will work correctly in the enclosure you have.
My suggestion is to build a box to fit the TRUCK, once you have chosen your woofer. This will be easier, with fewer trade-offs, than finding a woofer to fit the enclosure you will be stuck with...

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
Check at these two places I have used both and both companies are very good....
Audio Enhancers boxes are very well made and the fit is excelent...
Pro-Box also makes good boxes and they cover them with Rhino Liner bed covering for added protection that and they look really good....
Both make custom fit boxes and both are good companies it will just be up to you on the looks of the box as to what you want...

JL makes two "stealth" boxes for that truck. One goes under the passenger side rear seat and one goes in the bottom of the center console ( if you have one ). Both use their 10" W3V2 dual voice coil sub. This is and excellant choice for both looks and sound, but they are a little pricey.
