I'm trying to build a decent SQ setup.  I would like to use a 3-way component set in the front and a 2-way in the rear.  I have a single twelve for the  low end anchor.  Is 100 watts rms plenty of power for the components, and is a 3-way system much better than 2-way system.  Budget isn't unlimited but I would really like to use a set of Rainbow, Morel or Focal components.  Any other component sets I shoud consider?  Thanks in adavnce.

Boston also make a very nice set of components that you should probally consider. You should base the amount of power used off of the amount of power the speaker can handle as well as the amount of power being put to the sub. now woth that said I would say that its reasonable to assume that a legitamite 100 rms to each side is a reasonable amount of power for most set ups.

Well the sub amp is 1000 rms but i will probably keep the gain way down because I just want to anchor the low end not blast it.  I have a 4 channel 4 x 100 rms for my fronts and rears i was just debating about getting a 2 channel 200 rms for the front and running the 4 channel on the rear and possibly a center channel.  If I can do without the extra 2 channel amp i'd like to but if I need more power for up front i can add a center channel.  The components I have been looking have really just been 150 - 175 rms max.  Thanks in advance.
