laxan is easyer to work with. it drills better and doesnt chip. wonderful stuff. I use it alot when building our stock cars. it will even bend in a pan and box break. depends on thickness. I make wind screens, side skirts, rear spoilers.......you name it.

Polycarbonate.

It's expensive, but almost impossible to break. And, it is UV tolerant. It is probably your best bet.Your just have to custom order it for your car.

ALL of the plastic solutions mentioned will be short-lived, also. Nobody mentions how easily all of these types of plastic scratch. After maybe 3 or 4 automatic car-washes, they're gonna be all hazy from the scratches in 'em. Also, are you planning on replacing the windshield? Illegal, my friend... That also has the additional wear and tear of the wipers to contend with. What it SOUNDS like you are trying to do, does not seem very likely for a car you want to keep on the road (legally), as a daily driver.

Honestly, though, I don't think two woofers are going to be able to produce THAT kind of (music) SPL, anyway... no matter HOW much power you feed to 'em. Steady state? Possibly... but that's just my personal opinion. While it is more likely you will pop seals, breaking the actual glass? I don't see it happening.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
