Diamond Audio - D7402 vs. Audiobahn A2300HCQ

Is this a fair comparison? I haven't been able to find much on the Diamond Audio amps in terms of reviews or any people using them. The numbers on the Audiobahn look decent, but numbers can be deceiving.

Has anyone been exposed to the D7 amps? Didn't they used to be Esoteric Audio amps? If so, weren't they pretty close to as good as you can get?

What other amps fall into this category?

Just for background, I'll probably go with 3 10" subs. I like the sound of 10's but I would like a little more presence than what I am currenly getting from my Rockford 400.4  with 2 Image Dynamics 10Q. My goal is SQ with some headroom for SPL.

Have never used that Diamond but I do have experience with the A2300HCQ and can say that it is a very strong amp and definitely worth the money.  Might want to also check out the Audiobahn A18001DQ.

What is the trade-off in going to a "Class D" amp? If it were all positives then everyone would have class d's right?

Go to https://www.eatel.net/~amptech/elecdisc  and scroll down on the right side and click on amplifier classes. Read the article on Amplifier Classes and it will explain the different classes to you. Hope this info helps you out.
