Why would you put this amp to a woofer that has a max manufacturers rating of 500 watts RMS? Come on people think before you post.

Hi,
have these and running a fosgate 851s amp, its a 2004 with 850 wrms mono 4 ohms, or 425wrms x2 at 2 ohms. It sound nice. What type of box are you putting these in, sealed or ported and what volume. If you have the money get the new alpine 1000 rms, its a perk if u have the new 05 deck cause you can operate the amp from your deck..

man i would recommend the same amp that i have for one type x from alpine, if you want biggggg bass, then run one amp on one sub, that shhh would pound. i have never heard the w7's but i know they are loud.

... and .... What the deuce?

JL's W7 line can be a high powered great SQ sub... If you are wanting loudness, there are different options(I don't venture into SPL, but I know the JL isn't #1). I'd personally go with the w7's between the two because I love the SQ, but if you are looking for loudness, look elsewhere.

On a side not, I'm sorry, but some of the shhh I just read is absurd. Even for me.

there are alot of subs louder than a W7. but they wont have the SQ.  you want a real loud sub ? if you got the cash go for a SoundStream XXX . and the XXX amp to power it. www.soundstream.com . also the 15"  T4. AND 15"SPLX wiil produce more SPL than  W713
