Im new to the whole audio thing and dont understand anything about it but when it comes to mechanics im your guy. I bought 2 1200 watt 12inch Sony XS-L120P5W Explode subwoofers. Im in the process of buying the rest of the xplode stuff for my 94 deville. I need an amp that will power both subs from theyre rated power (dont know what that means) of 350 watts each to theyre 1200 watt peak power. I believe the 350 watts is continous i dont know. Sony doesnt reccomend any types of amplifiers and i dont want to get ripped off and wind up having to replace blown subs or amp. My current idea since this is the only headunit i can find to fit in the car is Dual XS7500 to power the front door speakers and rear 6x9s. I dont know what i will need other than a sub enclosure.
THE ONLY THING THAT I KNOW ABOUT MY SUBS ARE THEY ARE 4 OHM AND SONY SAYS TO WIRE THEM IN STEREO TO A 2 CHANNEL AMPLIFIER. I WANT TO FIND THE PERFECT AMP FOR THESE THINGS NO MATTER WHAT THE COST thanks for any suggestions and knowledge.

well, if cost really isn't an issue, i'd see if I could return the subs and get something else. Sony stuff for the car is just plain bad, you're probally gonna have broken and blown woofers no matter what amp you have.
Also, if you subs are 4-ohm SVC, it'd be more efficent to wire them to a single channel amp @ 2 ohms. So you'd need an amp that was rated to do 700 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. Make shure you look at the RMS numbers, not the max #'s.
