I bought a BMW from a guy, and I just put a Viper550ESP in it. Well, when the battery was disconnected to do the install, the Eclipse radio lost power, and you guessed it. I dont know the security code, and I cant get ahold of the guy I bought the car from. Figures. Anyone know how to reset the code, or anywhere I can go to get it done? Any help would be appreciated as I'm riding around without sounds, and I cant take it anymore.

Normally they don’t have a code they have a cd that unlocks it. When you first buy the unit it asks for a cd of your choice and then it uses it to unlock the unit in the future. I would call Eclipse and ask them if they have a unlock code. On a few of the models they do but 95% need that cd. The only way to do it is to send it into Eclipse and have they reset it.

Eclipse will probably charge you a fair bit to send it in and reset it, and make you prove owner ship too. I would try to get ahold of the guy forst, if that doesnt work, Get in touch with Eclipse.

I did finally get a hold of the guy I bought the car from, and he's mailing me the "Security Disc". Thanks for the help.
