Ive heard about this being done but never actually tried it. What is the correct procedure for this and what should the gains be set at?

What kind of load can the combined amps take?

This can ONLY be done by the end users with amplifiers specifically designed for this kind of operation.  Amps designed to be strapped together will have a "sync" or "slave" communication cable to connect them together, and it will be clearly described in the owner's manual.

Thanks for the help.

The Mtx amps say they are externally strappable.
Im trying to check Mtx's site for info but it appears to be down at the moment.

Ok, I think I got it.

No extra parts are needed.
One amp becomes the positive amp and has the phase set at 0, the other amp is the negative amp and is set at 180.

Spkr positives go to the + on the positive amp and spkr - go to the + on the negative amp. Gains get set with a meter and Im a dork for answering my own question.posted_image
