hi,
is it possible to piggy back the power for a monitor from the stereo wiring harness? the tv is 12v, 6w, thanks

You should be just fine doing that, if anything you may need to use a relay, no bid deal either way.

Wait wait the STEREO wiring harness?

Not really being familar with your car but with harnesses in general, I couldn't imagine piggy backing onto wires like that would be a good idea. Get some 12 gauge speaker wire and run something discrete from your battery and fuse it.

If you go to the battery, you'll have constant power

go to the remote turn-on or the acc.in the harness and up-grade the fuse.

thats what i was thinkin of doing using the acc wire on the harness but didnt wanna overload the fuse or wiring, i'm now thinkin of takin power from the ignition and fusing that, what do you think?

Ah, NEVER "upgrade the fuse", you'll just end up with a wire that heats up and melts the insulation off. The best thing to do would be to tap a relay off of some switched source, like the radio, and have the relay switch power directly from the battery (fused off the battery).

go to the ignition harness and fuse the wire that is the most professional way to do it.....
