2005 Chrysler Sebring sedan - Factory CD unit with sirius Sat receiver

My questions basically revolve around the re-use of my factory chrysler sirius antenna. I want to change the factory setup to an all alpine setup, changing from sirius to xm to get college basketball. Its been a few years since ive done an install and i have never done satellite. Seems simple to start with, but i have a factory antenna and do not want to have to wire up another one.

1. Do they all use the same smb plug to plug in the antenna? So that i could swap my factory tuner box out in place of the alpine sat receiver.

2. Is the tuner in the passenger side trunk area as i suspect? It is freezing out, dont want to have to fire up the heater and be digging around out there :)

3. Does the factory chrysler Sat receiver have power wired up so that i could probe and find power from the factory sat receiver plug? Or will i need to run wire?

Pre thanks for any help

No, the factory antenna plug is different from the aftermarket plug.  You will have to use the xm antenna provided with the unit.
