quick question. If I got a Kinetik battery, will my stock alternator be able to manage the battery?

The alternator does not need to handle the battery, it needs to handle the load your amps are demanding, a gel cell much like the kenetik may mask or help temporarly solve the problem, but in the end if the demand is too much, you will kill your alternator

Trust me, no alternator less than 100 amps above the stock rating will handle that VR2000D. If you have a 80 amp stock alt, get a 180amp+ alternator.
