Well, here is what i'm interested in doing. I have what i like to refer to as musical add. I can't seem to listen to music for more than 1 minute. Since i have the alpine 9856 i use an i pod and find myself switching songs rapidly. Since i have a stick shift car that makes it a little more difficult. Now i do have the remote so it makes it a little easier but i want to make even more easy. What I would like to do is add 5 small buttons to the top of my gear shifter so that way i can just change tracks with my thumb. I thought this was a really neat idea. And I plan on making it happen. Guess I just have to work a little harder. Now its time for me to rip apart my remote.

This is just one of a couple different styles I've seen.
Might be an option for you.

That is exactly what i'm looking. Only thing is i think they look bad. So I think i'm going to get one and hack it up and modify it to fit my factory shift knob. But thanks for the quick response. I'm so happy that it can be done. Also is would there be anything else i would need with that. 30 dollars seems a little cheap for that product. I don't understand why the steering whell interface from them cost 60 and that knob with everything would only cost 30. I"m probably going to get one. I'll let you guys know how my knob turns out.
