I have 2 12" 1400 Watt Max Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 Subs (Single Voice Coil) and I was wondering if anyone had any good recommendations on what amp or amps that I need or can get that would work the best for my subs.  Here are the specs.

  • Power Handling, Peak: 1400W
  • Power Handling, RMS: 350W
  • Sensitivity: 96dB (In car)
  • Frequency Response (± 1.5dB): 18Hz - 150 Hz
  • Frequency Response (±3dB): 18Hz - 150Hz
  • Impedance: 4 Ohms
  • Mounting Depth: 6-1/2"

And Thanks for reading this and for all the answers whenever I do get them.  I cant wait to get these bad boys hitting in my car.
Oh and I have no problem with buy 2 amps.

1400 means nothing. The subs you have are 350RMS each subs. I have a 600RMS watt amp powering the two. Phoenix Gold Xenon x600.1 It sounds amazing. they are great subs, whatever you feed them will most likely sound good

I doubt that someone with 2 infinity kappa subs (like myself) is in the market for a 600 dollar amp pushing them.

I have had good luck with older Rockford Amps, which if you can find a good one used would be great, But the nwere stuff is rather pricy. I love my phoenix gold amp as i satated early, which is within reason. Also, Infinity Amps I looked into originally looked and sounded pretty good when i was listening to amps. I hope one of the big guys gets in on this thread to offer a few better suggestions for you too. good luck

I am actually installing a pair of those for a friend right now with an Alpine MRP-M650 amp. It's a pretty good match for those subs (600watts rms @ 2ohms) and it can be found for under $300.
