I have a jensen 300 watt amp, and i put in my girlfriends car cuz hers went to crap. when I hook up both left and right rca patch cables, i get a rapid thumping when the lows hit, but when i disconnect one of the cable ends, i get perfect sound. Please help cuz I need to bridge the amp to get enuf power to the subs.

Need some info. Is the sub 4 or 8 ohms? Where are you disconnecting the RCAs? Does this happen when you disconnect either RCA or just a certain one?

There is no such thing as free installation!

Using either one or two RCA cables input to the amp has nothing to do with the bridged output that you want.  This amp may work fine using just the left RCA input.  Make sure your gains are set correctly as I have a feeling they are too high.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

the subs are 8 ohms, and i am disconnecting them from the aqmp. I think it is the cd palyer. I had a pioneer p6500 and hers is a p7700, and i accidently grounded the sub out rca cable, and it screwed up a lot of stuff, and did something similar to what hers is doing. I'm gonna try something, then i'll get back to you guys. Thanks!
