Alright, this si a VERY newbie Q. I has 2 thunder 8000 10 inch mtx subs... ANd I only have a rockford fosgate 75 watt amp... This means, if I bridge the amp I will only have 75 watts to each speaker (correct?) and I can trade for a bigger amp, but the name brand is kinda off wall... These subs hold 1000 watts a piece... And I will have them in a fiberglass enclosure... What I am asking, is do you think I shold trade?? My uncle (an he knows alot bouyt this stuff) thinks I should keep what I have because a small good quality amp is better than a big pos amp... Is he correct???

Compare the specs on the amps. Check true rms watts and not peak or max.
