Well usually im pretty good at troubleshooting little problems into with my stereo but thhis has stumped me.
Well the other day my friended packed my trunk full when going camping and when I got home my Sub would no longer work. At first I thought it was the connetion to batt cause that sometimes gets knocked off seeing as how it is only taped on but no it is still in place. So I checked all the wires at the deck and amp and still only the regular thermal light goes on amp with the little bit of light. So i figured maybe something happened to amp so I tried my old one that still worked but still no power to sub. I checked the fuses for the amp and wire that runs to batt+ and the one fuse looks blown that went to batt++ so i replaced but only had a 15 laying around and not 20A. but still no power at all. So if anyone has any idea of what is wrong your expertise would be aprreciated
First off it sounds like you might want to redo your wiring as it sounds pretty unsafe at this stage. I would start by buying a true amp kit that is designed for the amount of power that your amp is providing. This will include all the hardware to SAFETLY obtain a working amp. The fuse size sounds pretty small to me. What kind of amp is it and provides some info about it if possible. Also, include the size wire that you are running to it along with the size ground you are using as well as this will help us all figure out the best solution to your problems.

Use a DMM and check to make sure your subs arent ceased up or damaged/unplugged...A damaged sub wont play at all, and can cook your amp too. unplug,and test. And get a proper terminal for your battery connection!

well no the amp is using a 30 fuse but the wire running to batt has a 20a fuse. Also the amp I have is this onehttps://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10040356&catid=20100
and i believe the wire is about [ ] that thick if not a bit thinner and the ground is the same gauge
take it to a audio shop and have someone re-do your wiring before you burn your car down...Seriuosly taped in power leads. Take a look at
this and see if its worth a few $$$.
