ok well in db drag racing are you allowed to get metered with your windows down or do they have to be up? and what kind of song should i use to get maximum db. My box is tuned to 38hz. should i use a test tone or what. thanks

Most SPL metering is done with tones not songs.

Forgot to ad that you should probably get a hold of a DG drag rule book and read it over well. I bought the IASCA SQ ruler book with the intentions of competing but there are no SQ comps in my area. I suppose you might want to look into what comps are near you before comitting to an organization. lol

May want to tune your box for spl if you really want to get more outta it.
