I recently installed my remote bass control for my mtx amp and it was working fine, but all of a sudden whenever the remote control is plugged in, the gain goes to the minimum level, and turning the the knob up does nothing. I am wondering if the remote bass control is defective, or the port on the amp itself. I was wondering if any of you have had a problem like this?

Do you have access to another basss control knob ? If the wire connection is not pushed in all the way this could cause problems aswell.

Quick question, where is your gain on the amp set at?

its set a little under half way. Also I might have access to another remote bass knob. I am checking on that to test

I forgot that I had a second remote bass knob that came with my other mtx amp. Installed it and it works fine, I guess the control went bad. Thanks all
