would it be ok if i used a 40amp fuse for my amp?

amp= 75x2 @ 4ohms... so i figure, amp = 150 / 12.6 = 11.90...

i have a streetwires mini-wafer fuse block... i want to use this block cuz i dont want to go buy another one.

the block has the power input end with a 2ga input, and 4 8ga outputs.

i got two of those amps (75w x 2 @ 4ohms). is it ok if i seperate them on the block with 40 amp fuses each? or should i throw them both on one fuse?

The fuses on your power wires are to protect the wires, not the amps. The amps should have their own fuses (only a very few do not.) Use the proper size fuse for the wire you are running to the amp.

yeah i phrased that question wrong. just trying to salvage the fuse block. i have a 4ga input and 8ga outputs. the lowest amperage i found available in mini-wafer designs are 40 amps. would it be ok to use those fuses or should i just buy a new, unfused dist block?

An 8 gauge wire can use up to and including a 100 amp fuse...so yes, it's fine to use a 40 ga. fuse on each of the 8 ga. wires leading out of the fused distro block.
