I have 2 Alpine MRD-M500's and was just wondering if they are 1 ohm stable? I know my boss has an Alpine MRD-M1000 of the same year and it is 1 ohm stable. Any input would be appreciated.

Is there anything in the amp that can be upgraded so it is 1 ohm stable?

What makes an amp 1 ohm stable?

What is it that you are trying to do with these amps that you need them to be 1ohm stable?

BUT, in answer to your question(s)...

1: No.
2: Here's a recent discussion we had here on the12volt, regarding that very question.

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."

i would count on it being 2 ohm stable if anything. impedance is very important to optimize your system's importance. what kind of woofers are you going to be running on this amplifier? if they are 4 ohm DVC then you can just mono a coil off each woofer into the amp and that will make everything happy and then retune that amp into the existing system and you are good. good luck and hope this helps.
