I have been shopping around for a High output alternator and I have come across one for my 2003 Honda Civic EX Coupe D17A2 with a stock 70 Amp alternator, on ebay.

https://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/dll?ViewItem&item=130018481284&ssPageName=ADME:B:EF:US:2

I notice on the specs of that alternator, it says 70 amps at 800 RPM idle speed.  Now, im not sure if that is the same specs of my stock alternator (amps at idle).  Would the specs of my stock alternator (70 Amps) define the Max output or the idle output such as this alternator on ebay?

1: Your alternator is 70A max output, cold, hot will be about 20% less than that. If the alternator is from Alterstart, it's reasonbly honestly rated, I've installed several of them, and had very good luck with them.

2: Those are eBay links which are not allowed. Did you read the posting rules?

It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
