Hello,

I am looking for an AMP that uses the Line Input for the remote trigger.

I plan to install an AMP and an SUB to my OEM Factory System.

The OEM Factory System from the IS350 Mark Levinson does not have RCA OUTPUT or REMOTE TRIGGER for the AMP.

That's why i need an AMP which uses Line Input, which will be connected from the OEM Subwoofer.

Instead of connecting the remote wire to the ACC+, i am looking for an AMP that will sense the LINE IN and be turned on without a remote lead. This feature is commonly found in the Infiniti Bass Link.

The sub i will be using is 15" Square SoloBaric. Yes it does sound odd for this application but i have an extra laying around and would like to put it to use.

Thank you all.

Please kindly inform me with what AMPS have this specific features. 1) LINE IN. 2) Remote Sensing from LINE IN.

The JL 500/1 has this feature

1.  All aftermarket amplifiers have line in.

2.  You can use a line output converter that has this sensing feature.  It is a voltage sensing device.  Most of the major brands have this availability.

Build the box so that it performs well in the worst case scenario and, in return, it will reward you at all times.

I have tried to use my JL 300/4 and 500/1 with line sensing feature and it did not work well with lower volumes. It simply shuts off. Then I tried using low voltage trigger (Peripheral) tapping-in with 4.5v factory amp turn-on and constant 12v. It worked well.
Then I decided that the line converter From speaker to low voltage is robbing me of the quality sound, I simply replaced the deck. The line converter I was using was made by Scosche 4ch.

the JL amps do not have high-level inputs.

Why not just run a wire from ACC+ ? You will be running power wire anyway

I wish I had spare woofers laying around ...

JL amps use RCA input to sense signal and turn amp on.
In Vic's case, he wants to find an amp turn-on, not the
hi level input from what I understood correctly in his message. In his case, he probably needs both, hi to low rca line converter and voltage sensing trigger for amp turn-on. It is possible to use just the rca signal sensing feature on JL amp, but like I stated before, it is not recommended by manufacturer and at low volumes the amps tend to shut down.
