im working on a 2005 nissan altima, I replace the factory head unit w/ Panasonic indash tv, nothing else thats all.. after replacing everything the deck works fine but the airbag light keeps flashing. I used the correct Metra harness and nothing else was done. I saw a post about how to reset the air bag light but that dosn't work. The other post did say something about when taking the dash trim off and unplugging the passenger airbag indicator that triggers it.. and that sounds about right because I also install just an amp and subs to a factory 2007 nissan maxima and the same thing happen..

It works I went to the web site and found this one the best thing to do is instead of counting 7 sec after the airbag warning is to just turn the ignition on then right when the light blinks off turn the ignition off... That worked alot easier than counting to me...

HOW TO STOP THE AIRBAG LIGHT FROM BLINKING
--------------------------------------------------------------------
1. Turn ignition switch from OFF to ON.
2. Within 1 second after air bag warning lamp is on for 7 seconds and turns off, turn off ignition switch.
3. After ignition switch is turned off, wait for more than 3 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times (3 OFF to ON sequences in total)
5. Turn ignition switch to ON.
6. Turn ignition switch OFF and wait for more than 1 second then turn it back ON.

The blinking airbag light should stop.

actually, you can unplug the passanger airbag indicators with no problems as long as you don't turn the ignition on while it's unpluged. it's a common mistake since alot of people have a habit of turning on the ignition to test the product installed before putting everything back together.

also, disconnecting the negative battery terminal before starting the install will prevent this from happening.
