I am looking into buying a couple of amplifiers to rum the subwoofers and speakers I am going to buy. Here is my plan for the subs/speakers.
---2 Infinity Kappa Perfect Subs wired to a 2ohm load.
---Polk DB series 3.5" in the dash, 6.5" in the doors, and 6"x9" in the rear.
I have a couple of questions. First, what are your opinions on the Polk DB series of speakers. I have a friend who has some and he said he loved them, but I never got to listen to them before he sold his car.
Second, I am looking into Phoenix Gold Amplifiers to power the subs and speakers. I want to use the R8.0:4 (75wx4 @ 4ohms) to power the door and rear deck speakers, the R2.5:2 (50wx2 @ 4 ohms)to run the dash speakers, and the R15.0:1 to run the subs (1000Wx1 @ 2ohms). Is the Phoenix Gold Line of amplifiers pretty reliable? They are not really high dollar so I know they will not be top of the line, but I am looking for the best "bang for the buck". Does Phoenix Gold overrate their stuff?
This is all going into a 2001 Dodge Neon
Thanks for the help and opinions

There are 3 kinds of people in the world, those who can count and those who can't
I have a Xenon 600.1 with my 2 Infinity 12" kappa perfects. Wired to 4 ohms, and getting 600RMS Watts, and i LOVE IT very clean power, that was inexpensive. I have been runnning the setup for a year, not one ounce of a problem
